The party crowd is coming to town. I can hardly wait. I love this event. For those of you who don’t know a lot about the crowd who comes in to enjoy Street Vibrations, let me enlighten you.
Harley Davidson owners and motorcycle club members are some of the nicest, most generous, and most fun people out there. Myself, I’m not a Harley rider. In fact, I’ve never driven a motorcycle in my life. They scare me to death. I know I sound like a little bit of a sissy, but hey, that’s just the way it is. But I’ll tell you what: I love checking out the bikes. I love hanging with the folks who come in from out of town to gamble and party it up. And every year, we try to bring a special “in-house” promotion that will allow them to party with us well into the night.
This year, the Club Cal Neva is opening up DAQS 151 on the Top Deck. DAQS features five different types of 16-oz Daiquiris and all of them are made with either Bacardi 151 or 151-proof Everclear (hence the name DAQS 151).
DAQS will be open daily from 11 a.m. until the party dies every day and night, Thursday through Saturday. The bar will not only feature daiquiris, but will also include $2 24 oz. Twisted Teas and $1 16-oz. Bud and Bud Light cans.
The Top Deck isn’t the only place to party during Street Vibrations. Club Cal Neva’s regularly scheduled Karaoke will start 2-hours early on Thursday through Saturday as well. Normally, Karaoke gets going at 8 p.m. This week, it will start at 6 p.m. and we’ll go til we can’t go no more.
Not enough? The party will hit its climax on Saturday night as Britt Gianotti and friends will host a special Street Vibrations themed body painting show in the event room next to the William Hill Sports Book. Gorgeous ladies dressed in nothing but body paint and the “skin they’re in” will grace the event room along with the John Sutter Band. A special contest will take place at approximately 10 p.m. (doors open at 9:00 p.m.) as four locally recognized body painting artists will compete to see who is the best body paint artist in Reno. The contestants will have 45-minutes to paint one girl in front of the audience as the John Sutter Bands belts out the best in classic rock covers. The winner will receive $1,500 in cash and the title.
So if you’re looking to get out of the house this weekend, or you’re heading to town this weekend for Street Vibrations and looking for something to do, look no further than the Club Cal Neva, Reno’s Best Bet.
BTW: $1 Bud and Bud Lights are served 24/7.
