In the past few years, the Club Cal Neva’s Poker Room has become the home of the $10 Texas Hold’em Tournament. The tournament offers an opportunity for novice poker players to learn the game and a chance for recreational players to enjoy it.
At the Club Cal Neva, we love or tournament players. They are loyal. They like to be at our place. And they always have a good time when playing in this No-Limit Re-buy tournament. And while we appreciate their loyalty, we also want to stimulate new business. When we can do that, it’s good for everyone involved.
This is why the Club Cal Neva Poker Room’s manager, Win Tench, pushed us to award one poker player in Reno, the opportunity to play in the WSOP’s $10,000 Main Event. And, of course, we jumped at the chance.
The way to do it is pretty simple. During the course of any given month, you can earn points for playing in our daily $10 No-Limit Texas Hold’em Tournaments. Points earned are dependent on number of players in the tournament and your order of finish. At the end of the month, the top 20 point-earners are entered into the monthly $1,000 Freeroll held on the second Sunday of the next month. The top five finishers in that tournament are awarded one of 100 seats into the Tournament of Champions which will take place on May 18, 2014. The winner of that tournament will win a seat in the 2014 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas and receive $1,000 in travel money.
All told, 45 players will earn an automatic spot into the Tournament of Champions. Fifty-five wild card participants will be drawn when we get close to the event. Players who play in our $10 tournaments can earn drawing opportunities based on $10 tournament appearances as well as through other opportunities in the casino.
The first five winners have already claimed their seat through the August freeroll, but there’s still plenty of time as we are only in the early stages of the September freeroll period. So don’t hesitate. Get down the Club Cal Neva now! Tournaments are held daily at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. and additional tournaments on Saturday and Sunday at 9 p.m.

Good luck poker players. We hope to see you soon!
